THE CODE MASTERY METHOD

Practice the work.
Develop the judgment.

Engineering skill is more than a correct answer. It’s understanding constraints, explaining trade-offs and delivering something a team can trust.

  1. 01

    Start with context

Work through a project with stakeholder requirements, a team and real delivery constraints. Read only the terminology relevant to that lesson.

  2. 02

    Decide, build, reflect

Choose an approach or write code. Receive feedback, use a hint when needed, then revisit your reasoning and try again.

  3. 03

    Measure and focus

Track your best scenario scores and demonstrated skills. Use role expectations to choose focused practice rather than collecting unrelated exercises.

What the measurements mean

Quality & consistency
Quality is the average of your best scenario scores. Consistency is your number of active UTC days in the last 14 days, divided by 14.
Skills & role distance
A skill score is the best score on a scenario that exercises it. Role distance averages the positive gaps between these scores and the role’s target.
Practice completion
Completion is saved to your account. Marking a lesson complete tracks work done, not mastery; only scenario scores change demonstrated skills.
Scoring limitations
Simulation coding tasks currently use pattern checks, not code execution. AI reviews offer guidance, not certification or a guarantee of production readiness.
